Installing 7.5 clients from a 6.5 Master/Media Server

I understand that higher versions of RHEL and OpenBSD require the deployment of the 7.0 Master/Media server. That is not practical at this time as the current Master/Media server (6.5) would require signficant work to upgrade to 7.0. Also, I believe that a 6.5 Master server is upward compatible with 7.5 clients. If this is the case, having downloaded all the current 7.5 client tar files, how can I get the 6.5 server to see these so the newer clients can be pushed to the target servers?
